The S3 is is the equivalent of the S1 with a solid cover cap. Perfect to complement high output dual-coil pickups in the same guitar. The Low Frequency response is clear, yet very full and powerful. All HZ Pickups have EMG's exclusive 5-wire quik-connect output allowing any number of wiring combinations, and are fully shielded for a minimum of noise. String grounding is recommended to further decrease noise.

The EMG HZ7-A is a 7-string pickup for guitar. The pickup is housed in EMG's 35 Extended bass housing, so it's not a direct replacement for a humbucking pickup. The HZ7-A is a dual-coil pickup with Alnico poles similar to the 85, with the same amount of output.

All HZ Pickups have EMG's exclusive 5-wire quik-connect output allowing any number of wiring combinations, and are fully shielded for a minimum of noise. String grounding is recommended to further decrease noise. Widely endorsed by ESP Guitars in many of their models

***Review: This is perfect for metal. It has a great palmuted sound and pinch harmonics are very easy to get. I've had Dimarzios(x2n, super distortion) and Seymour Duncans(JB, Full Shred, Distortion, Invader, Dimebucker) and this passive EMG is just as good. It has a killer bite and is dead silent when not playing. Also, awesome sustain and chunky palm mutes !!!
